Year 6 - Miss Williams

Our Classroom

Work I Am Proud Of!

This term, we have been lucky enough to have the music service in to teach us Ukelele. Over the block, we spent time learning the notes and chords that you can play on the Ukelele, a number of key pieces of musical vocabulary and a number of different songs.

This half term, we have been finding out about the cracking ideas and inventions from World War 1 and World War 2. In literacy, we have been reading The Silver Sword to learn more about the lives of children in WW2 in Europe, and reading, analysing and writing remembrance poetry, to commemorate the end of WW1. To link with this, in DT we have been using the concept of ‘Make Do and Mend – re-purposing old materials to make bags! It has been an interesting and busy half term.
