This term we focused on different types of transport, the history of the modes of transports and how they have changed over time. We went on a trip to Bllist hill to share how things have changed over time. We encouraged the children to look for things they could see around that is different to now. This might have been the clothes they wore as well as the different modes of transport. The children enjoyed watching the horse and cart and learning all about the coal tunnel in the engine room. We also carried out a selection of activities from rubbings, drawings and photography to capture our observations.
Nursery and Reception had a fantastic day celebrating Chinese New Year. There were lots of creative and fun activities to learn and celebrate the year of the Rat.
