Year 3 and 4 Children went to Birmingham Hippodrome to watch The Welsh National Opera Schools concert, as part of the school’s commitment to providing enrichment opportunities. The Welsh National Opera school concerts are aimed at Key Stage 2 students, providing the opportunity for children to experience an orchestral concert – live! It was a perfect way to re-introduce our primary-aged children to opera and classical music as the orchestra guided them through a selection of popular favourites from the world of opera, film and TV. The children really enjoyed the fun and informal concert, an ideal way for them to learn about classical music, sing with the orchestra and see what goes into creating an opera.
