Our fabulous Junior Road Safety Officers were recently invited to attend a prestigious ceremony by Telford and Wrekin Travel and DENSO. They were awarded the top prize of £1000 after creating an array of ideas which outlined how to spend money to improve road safety within our school. In addition to this, one of our school entries for the Design a Road Safety Sign Competition was also shortlisted out of over 800 entries from across Telford.
Telford and Wrekin School of the Year 2017 was awarded to Redhill Primary at the Modeshift Awards Ceremony, Kings Hall , Stoke on Trent on 15th November, in recognition of our commitment to sustainable travel and education of road safety , across the school, from Nursery to year 6. This year we achieved the Silver award due to a variety of activities and events I.E Bling your bike, Walk to School Week, Cycle Circus etc. Our Travel Committee and Junior Road safety Officers (pupil voice groups) are pro-active in planning initiatives which highlight sustainable travel. Well done to Mrs Williams for leading on this!
