Children attending Redhill Primary Academy should wear the school uniform detailed below, without variation. We only specify a minimum of 2 school logo uniform, a jumper/cardigan and a school logo polo shirt. The PE t-shirt has recently be reviewed, and we have continued to use our same Fairtrade supplier to keep costs low. The school PE hoodies can be purchased, but we also accept plain black hoodies and specifically state no branded logo items, including the joggers, to keep costs low for parents and reduce the pressure to buy sports brands.There are supports in place for families: the ‘Friends of Redhill’ (PTA), run second-hand uniform sales and lost property is redistributed appropriately. We are aware that the cost of uniform can be significant for parents and carers. Children will not be able to participate in PE without the correct PE kit. In accordance with Health and Safety Regulations, we have requested that children do not wear earrings or any jewellery for PE lessons. If your child is unable to remove their earrings themselves at school, then please can you ensure that they are not worn to school on the days that they have PE. If your child has newly pierced ears, please supply micro-pore tape for them to keep in their bag, so that they can cover their earrings during PE. This is to prevent any accidents occurring which could cause considerable discomfort to your child and we would ask for your co-operation in this matter. If earrings are worn to school, only small studs are appropriate. All earrings need to be removed for swimming.
